An Epic to a Dark Hero... {Part 2 " The Collective"}

Those who heard the same call as the hero, the yearning to go to the Temple of the Elder Gods all joined the warrior in his camp. with a seeming knowledge of their arrival, he greeted them as they came. The first group approached cautiously not knowing what to expect, but knew this was the man they had been searching for. All of them introduced themselves to only only themselves but also to the warrior. They all saw a man about a hand taller than average and of medium build, but got the feeling of a great king was in their presence. They knew he was their leader. Among them was the woodsman wild by nature knowing his axe like an extension of his own arm. Next to make their introduction was the mage knowledgeable in the eastern arts of the world magick. Then introduced was the ranger, as quick to a joke as he was to his bow. Following him was the slave, a man now barbarian by nature made to survive the elements with nothing, he seemed to be made of stone. Days later two more joined the group. the first of the two was the healer, familiar with the medicine men of the far east and the deepest forests of southern swamps and of the great surgeons of the heavily civilized west, a vast library of medical knowledge in his capable hands; he was ready to serve the warrior. Finally was the knight, son of an archon trained to battle any foe and lead with honor and bravery. After discussion of current events, the topic of a name for this band of heroes came up, each member formed a name they thought fit the group. The warrior listened to all of them silent and calculating, he silenced the group quelling all with a word. He looked up and said with a solid voice "We are the Collective".
